HOW LONG IS THE CHURCH SERVICE?
The service lasts about an hour—as short as 50 minutes and as long as 65 minutes.
WHAT DO I WEAR?
You may wear whatever you want. There are some people who wear suits and ties, but many go more business casual (slacks and a button shirt), and still others wear jeans and t-shirts. It’s important to remember that God looks at the soul, not at the suit.
WHAT SIZE CHURCH IS IT?
Our Sunday morning worship has an average of 220 people in attendance. We have plenty of room for you and your family!
WHAT CAN I EXPECT WHEN I ATTEND ON SUNDAY MORNING?
You will find that we are a friendly church with several young families with children as well as a mix of folks in all different
age groups. Our worship is a blend of traditional and contemporary music. We have a worship team that consists of
a mix of piano, organ, electronic keyboard, rhythm and bass guitars, drums, a worship leader and vocalists. No two Sundays are exactly the same. Sometimes we feature a soloist or a vocal group. Our Pastor shares Biblically based messages that are relevant to modern life.
WHAT DO MY KIDS DO?
We offer Crossroads Childresn’s Church for children age three through 5th grade as well as our nursery (infants, crawlers, walkers—newborn through age 2) during our worship services. Our state-of-the-art electronic kids check-in system, parent paging system, and secure kids area will allow you to have peace of mind during services. And, our Jesus-centered kids programming is so fun and engaging your kids will beg to come back!
DO YOU HAVE COFFEE?
Yes! We have FREE coffee and other beverages available in the lobby. We also have breads, donuts or other breakfast foods available in the lobby.
Our Welcome Desk in the lobby has a variety of up-to-date information on all of our ministries and events.
WHAT ABOUT YOUTH GROUP?
Our youth typically meet on Sunday nights from 6-8 PM. They usually share a light meal together, have games/activities, and have a Bible lesson. The youth do a service Sunday about once a month and they also have special activities and conventions that they attend. Youth is open to all 7th –12th Graders
DO YOU HAVE SMALL GROUPS/BIBLE STUDIES?
There are several small group/Bible Study opportunities available and their schedules vary. During the school year there is a Men’s and Women’s Bible Study that meets on Wednesday nights from 7-8 PM. There is also a Tuesday Men’s group that meets at 6:30 AM for Bible Study and prayer.
WHAT ABOUT OTHER CHILDREN'S ACTIVITIES?
During the school year we have a children’s teaching/activity ministry we call WWJD. WWJD meets whenever school is in session from 7-8 PM on Wednesday nights. We also have a Vacation Bible School which typically takes place during the 4 days following Memorial Day. Other activities for children are planned throughout the year.
WHAT ABOUT OUTREACH BEYOND THE WALLS OF OUR CHURCH?
Our church invests significantly in outreach efforts in our own community and literally around the world. We currently provide monthly support for 3 different missionary couples. In addition we support the work of Children Of Promise a child sponsorship organization. Several of our church members sponsor children in different parts of the world. Our church serves our community through the Kids’ Hope USA mentoring program at South Knox Elementary. We have a formal once a year “Faith In Action” day during which we do clean up and fix up projects in our community. There are many other projects that are completed during the year for church members as well as community members.
WILL I BE ASKED TO GIVE MONEY?
We do bring an offering, but it is for our members and regular attendees. If you are a visitor/guest, please do not feel obligated to give.
