October 23rd we are planning our fall baptism service. If you have accepted Jesus as your Savior and have never been baptized I would encourage you to consider this act of obedience and public declaration of your faith. It has been said that baptism is an outward sign of an inward work of grace. When Jesus left this earth He gave us this commission: “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you al-ways, even to the end of the age.” -Matthew 28:19-20
This is the mission of the church “Go make disciples….”! Part of that process is baptism. The early church practiced water baptism, Jesus Himself was baptized as an example for us to follow, and down through church history baptism has been a way to publicly declare your faith in Jesus. God is please when we choose to obey and he commands us to believe and be baptized! Please speak with myself, Pastor Kay, or Pastor Grant if you are interested in being baptized.
